So friendly staff! We eat on 26/10 in the evening and the money machine doesn’t match! The chef cooked also and we promised to pay the day after! So we did it early in the morning 8.30 when the man of the pub waked up and opened the door! Thank you all very much for the good food and drinks Greetings from Belgian people!

My review is for the restaurant, rather than the bar. We called in here on the off chance of getting a bite to eat and were quite simply blown away by the quality and price of our tea. If you look at the surroundings, and not wishing to denigrate the hotel at all, but it does look very much like a hotel of the 80’s. Massively high ceilings, ‘function’ seating and tables and an over all feeling of ‘wedding reception’ rather than modernistic cafe……but don’t let that fool you, because the food they produced was way above any flash looking, overpriced eatery. The service was impeccable from the moment we had our order taken. Our food came out in good time and was delicious. The cheesy garlic bread was a small Swansea loaf! None of your couple of grilled slices, a whole loaf between 4; and may I say it was the best tasting garlic bread I’ve had, ever! Portion size of our four meals was fine, just enough to fill 4 hungry belly’s. The chef came out to make sure everything was to our liking and left us to enjoy our meal…..just the right amount of care. The one thing we all agreed on upon settling up our very reasonable bill, was we’ll be back. About the only thing I can criticise is they only open two nights a week. 5 stars from me.

Rang to see if we could come in today as we weren’t able to get in anywhere else and the bar guy was amazing and said we could and bring the kids and offered to cook us food so got a few seafood baskets and chips. Absolutely great service. Would recommend the friendly atmosphere.will be in again.
